arevo is a mobile application platform enabling users to plan journeys and optimise their mobility experience. arevo is operated by arevo Pty Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Royal Automobile Club of Victoria (RACV) Limited (we, us or our). Protecting your privacy is important to us. This Notice explains how we collect, handle and safeguard your personal information when you download and use the arevo app. The RACV Privacy Charter explains how RACV generally collects and handles personal information. Purposes for which we collect your personal information

We collect personal information from you if you create an arevo account using the app. When you create an arevo account, we use your personal information: to create your account and manage the login steps so you can access app features, to provide you with app features that are available to users who create an arevo account, to surface relevant push notifications to you, to provide you with user support in case you need help, to send marketing communications to you, and to conduct data analytics about your use of the app to help us maintain and improve the arevo app, our products and services and also to help us understand how commuters travel.

If you don’t provide us with the information we need, or if you provide us with incorrect or incomplete information, then you won’t be able to create an arevo account or access the features that are only available on logging in. While you can still use the arevo app, you won’t be able to access all app features and functionality.

Disclosure of your personal information

We will use and disclose your personal information for the purposes set out above. We use service providers to manage user sign-up for, and logging into, the arevo app, to send push notifications to app users and to support app functionality and manage app performance.

Information will be stored in servers located in Australia and the United States. In certain circumstances, to ensure the app’s continued operation, backups of information may also be stored in the United States. We have taken steps to ensure acceptable security arrangements are in place to protect your information.

Direct marketing

We may use your personal information to tell you about other products and services, discounts, special offers, competitions and invitations to special events. If you do not wish to receive any marketing material from RACV, you can withdraw your consent by contacting us on 13 15 60 or by using the unsubscribe function if you have received marketing material electronically.

Please be aware that it is not possible to unsubscribe from arevo’s push notifications. If you do not wish to receive arevo push notifications, you’ll need to either uninstall the app or change the settings on your device.
